Roman was a talented artist who primarily painted murals on the sides of buildings in Los Angeles. He met the brilliant Morgan Gillory and they fell in love. They moved in together and had a daughter, Ava, whom Roman adored. They were a happy family and Morgan was oblivious to Roman's secret life as an FBI informant.
One day, Roman left to get milk and diapers, only to never return. Morgan reported him missing, but little investigation transpired and the case went cold. Roman's car was discovered with diapers and milk inside, proving he didn't just leave the family. However, this information was never passed onto Morgan.
One month before his disappearance, Melon cited Roman for putting up a mural without a permit. The area was known for its criminal activity.
