Synopsis[]
A single mom with an exceptional mind is recruited to the LAPD Major Crimes unit, where her unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.
Plot[]
A single mother of three named Morgan, is down on her luck. She has a job as a cleaning lady, has a car in the shop she can't afford to repair and is struggling to care for her children by herself. While cleaning the police station, she bumps a box of crime scene pictures to the floor. Carefully she studies them and finds a mistake that the police themselves missed. The suspect is actually a second victim who has been kidnapped. She scratches out the word suspect under her name and writes the word, "VICTIM" under it and confidently walks away. It turns out Morgan has an IQ of 160 and is able to see things that even the policeman themselves cannot see as she is just that smart. She is asked to work with Detective Karadec to solve the crime to determine who killed and kidnapped the victims. Once she does that successfully, she is asked to stay on and is offered a job. She negotiates a higher pay, childcare and for them to search for her missing husband who disappeared 15 years ago.
