High Potential Wiki

Morgan Gillory is the main protagonist in the ABC series, High Potential. She is portrayed by Kaitlin Olson.

Morgan is a single mother with three children, the smartest person in the room — any room, with an IQ north of 160 and a wide range of knowledge. She’s struggled to find a way to apply her unique mind and finds herself on the edge of an extraordinary life working with the LAPD.

Biography[]

Morgan was always an extraordinary person with an IQ and active brain that caught the attention of the adults around her. She was diagnosed with High Intellectual Potential (HIP) as her IQ was above the 95h percentile. She was considered "intellectually gifted", though this didn't help her excel in schooling or making a wealthy life for herself. In fact, she often felt overstimulated by activities and lessons, which drove her to take menial jobs where she wouldn't have to focus intently or worry about hyper fixations

Morgan met Roman Sinquerra and they had a child together, a daughter they named Ava. The trio were happy in their lives and Roman was present for the women, turning a skeptical Morgan into a comfortable family woman. One day, Roman unexpectedly left the family, and Morgan reported him missing as she knew he would never leave them. Ava and the LAPD both disagreed with her assumption.

Years later, Morgan fell in love again and married Ludo Radovic, with whom she had two children - Elliot and Chloe. The pair were divorced shortly after Chloe's birth, though he stayed in Morgan's life to help her raise her now-three children while she worked as a cleaning lady for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Season 1[]

In "Pilot", Morgan Gillory begins her nighttime job of cleaning the LAPD's Major Crimes Unit after hours. She listens to music and dances through the division, ultimately knocking over a box of information. She picks it up and sees several inconsistencies in the case. She crosses out suspect on their crime board and instead writes victim then she goes about her life.

In the morning, Morgan goes grocery shopping with her three kids - teenage Ava, young Elliot, and baby Chloe. Morgan has a specific amount she can spend and when Ava tries to buy lip gloss, she refuses. Once in line, she notices the total is wrong and breezes through the numbers, coupons, and math to the checkout lady to prove the system is wrong. She realizes Ava snuck the lip gloss into the cart and the total reverts to the correct amount. She does not buy the lip gloss instead handing it back with the perfect amount owed. They take the bus back to their home, stealing the shopping cart in the process. Ava complains about still having to take the bus as their car is in the shop. Morgan can't afford to get it back yet. They arrive home where the front yard has additional shopping carts parked in it. The kids bound inside while Morgan struggles with the groceries. Their next door neighbor Henry comes to her aid, but their conversations are cut short when detectives Adam Karadec and Oz from the Major Crimes Unit of the LAPD arrive looking for Morgan.

She's taken to the unit headquarters where they play the surveillance footage of her cleaning last night, which includes her dancing, knocking over a box, and touching Karadec's board. She confessed to fixing the mistake on the crime board as she said, 'She was cleaning up their mess.' When asked what she saw, she showed how she noticed the owner of the house was a neat freak and she figured out that she didn't do it, but instead the killer took the curtain tie-back to tie up the victim. She figured out that the missing woman was a victim. She said, "You guys made mistake, I fixed them so let's not make a big deal out of it." After checking the footage, they determined she was right but they put her in a holding cell to check out her story.

When they released her, she said the video was edited as the wind blew the wrong way which she could tell by the facing of the church which always is facing east. So the video was from a different season. She was right again. When asked how she knew that, she said she had an IQ of 160. She said she has photographic memory and can see things others cannot but she said it was not a gift. It was a compulsion and it affects her life. When she was leaving, she runs into her ex and then causes trouble with two police officers so they put her back in jail. Karadec is told by his boss to take her with him to the crime scene.

When she was released, she ran into the kidnapped mom's daughter. We learn that Morgan lost someone 15 years ago just like the daughter did. Meanwhile the boss tried to intimidate Morgan into helping but instead a simple "please" worked. Morgan didn't listen when they went to the victim's house and interrogated the sister who was there. Morgan got fussed at by Karadec and got upset walking away. Morgan broke into the men's bathroom and tried to give Karadec a letter that she stole from the Acosta's office. He refused and said to return it or he'd take her to jail as that evidence was not allowed to be used in court. So instead they brought her in Dimond who assaulted multiple women but his lawyer came in so the conversation was done. Morgan spoke to her daughter, Ava and they discuss Ava's father who left. He is the person who is missing still. The next morning Karadec comes in and she has him feed her baby while she figures out some details in the case. She takes the kids to school in the Karadec's police car and embarrass her kids using the remote to announce them wishing them a good day. Morgan figures out the case and finds the mom who is returned to her daughter. The case is solved. She is offered a job and Morgan demands a raise, childcare and for them to look for her missing ex-boyfriend AKA Ava's father, who disappeared 15 years ago. He was sent out to get diapers and never returned home and was never found.

In "Dancers in the Dark", Morgan picks out her outfit according to what Chloe likes (based on her cooing and smiling). As soon as the outfit is decided, Chloe pukes on her. The children have surprised Morgan with pancakes, sausage, eggs, and orange juice. The children are excited Morgan has a new job and can afford to pay for the car repairs. Karadec looks less than pleased but debriefs Morgan on the case.

When brought up to the roof/crime scene, Morgan has to be reminded to use gloves by Karadec. Morgan informs Karadec that the tap dancer wasn't alone and finds a cell phone that doesn't belong to the victim. Morgan decided that he didn't take his own life as he wouldn't take his car with him as he loved it so much. Karadec said he needs evidence.

Morgan checks in with Selena about her missing ex-boyfriend. She tells Selena the details and she agrees to check on things. Morgan and Karadec go to the hospital to talk to the mom of the victim who is upset as she doesn't know if her son will survive much less dance again despite being broadway bound. She also said he had no enemies which leads Morgan to determine that the victim was pushed by accident. She also found out there was a third man there by solving the mystery of how he got there. She was able to climb into the trunk of his car and find the trunk release special made handle so that the man could escape without being seen. Morgan and Karadec went to the car dealer/shop and Morgan makes a deal. Morgan gets all their alibies and gives them to Daphne who helps her with a smile.

Ava brought home a cat art project. Impressed, Morgan takes her daughter to the garage to show pictures of her father's artwork all over buildings. Morgan told Ava that she inherited her father's talents. She also told Ava that her father did not walk out on her and that the LAPD is looking for him. Ava isn't impressed and said to have them work on getting their car back instead. Morgan takes Karadec back onto the roof to look at things. She figures out that the moon was blinding the killer and he pushed the wrong guy off the roof! The second victim is still in trouble. Morgan and Karadec called the victim but things were too noisy. Morgan was able to determine where his location is but alas it is too late. He was shot and died. Morgan was highly upset and Karadec tried to talk to her about it. He said it's part of the job and they didn't get here fast enough but next time they will. Morgan took a walk and went to get help from Lev. Detective Melon is upset as he's helping her. She determines that the gun in a robbery that Detective Melon is the same as the one who killed the second victim. She spends time rearranging Detective Melon's board much to his dismay. He interrupts her, She shows that he was being driven for 3 robberies then used the bus for the other two. She said the second victim was at the car shop where the robber was getting vehicles from. Since the second victim refused to help him get another car, the robber got revenge by pushing the victim off the roof then shooting victim 2. Morgan is able to determine where the next robbery will take place and they were able to arrest him. She shared with the robber that they set him up by alerting the cops of a false code 3 which would set him in motion knowing code 3s mean less cops are available. Damian awoke and he thanks her for helping him. He is able to move his toes which means he can dance again soon.

Morgan gets to drive her car home. The kids are very excited. Selena stops by Morgan's house. She found out that Roman's car was found after he left with diapers in it suggesting he did not just disappear and instead something happened to him. Ava overheard this.

In "Dirty Rotten Scoundrel", Morgan enters the murder scene noticing right away it was a murder not a suicide explaining how cleaners would fold the towels properly and use a mop not a towel to clean up the floor. She also noticed the candles and the towel cleaned dishes suggesting something was being covered up. When they bring in their suspect, right before Detective Karadec can arrest her, Morgan loudly announces she could not do it as the timing was wrong based on the one candle that had been put out by wet during the struggle in the bathtub. Morgan was proud of herself but Karadec reminded her that the only suspect just walked out the door.

Morgan took the evidence box home to test her son, Elliot. She is wearing gloves and testing his ability to do the facts. He does well every time. Detectives come to the house to retrieve the evidence as she is not supposed to bring it home. Morgan confronts Ava about having a boyfriend in her room which isn't ok. Morgan then talks to Karadec. He's worried the evidence won't be admissible if she contaminates it. She said so much was missed starting with the boots and pants that had so much evidence on it. Ava made a joke saying her boyfriend had been in Juvie. Morgan didn't believe her and wanted to know more about the boyfriend. She doesn't want her daughter to end up with three kids pretending to be a cop. (like her). Morgan wants a badge. She asks Karadec about when he started dating. He didn't answer.

She brought his keys to the questioning of a witness and found his car. He is a ride-share driver. Karadec actually noticed the sign on the front where Morgan didn't. While they talk to the victim's family, Morgan has a tea party with the daughter. Morgan overhears Karadec who tells the wife that he wasn't faithful. Morgan talks to her ex-husband about Ava. Morgan is concerned and the ex-husband wants to trust Ava. Morgan doesn't trust her and isn't liking that and reminds him that Ava is her daughter. Morgan brings donuts which makes people happy. She figures out the murderer entered through the window. Oz agrees with her finding powder that she recognizes that climbers use. Daphne gives them an address of a person who knows the suspect. She gave money to the suspect in exchange for a house. She thinks she's marrying him. She has dementia.

Selena comes over to discuss information on Roman. He was cited for painting the phoenix mural on the wall. Morgan shares a cookie with Selena. Morgan remembers the gift to the daughter and opens the dictionary to find $50 grand. She told the wife that her husband was scamming women out of money. She then goes and orders Karadec's favorite drink, dirty vodka martini on the rocks.

In "Survival Mode", Morgan is excited and unable to sleep because she get her very own badge today. When Robert from H. R. came with her badge, he asked her to sign something before getting the badge. Morgan skimmed the fine print and decided not to sign and instead just took the badge and walked away. She leaves the group watching her in shock. While taking pictures of her new badge, someone comes into the bathroom crying. Her two kids were kidnapped. Their father never dropped them off last night.  Before going with Karadec, Morgan lets the frantic mom know that she's in good hands. She tells the person in charge of the mom to make sure she eats something. She goes to the dad's house to find a stuffed bunny. It suggests that the little girl did leave willingly. Morgan investigates the greenhouse and notices two vegetables side by side that doesn't make sense. She started digging along with Karadec and together they find the father deceased and buried there. When Karadec checks on her, Morgan is upset because there is nothing to prepare the girls on losing a father. She asks if he noticed the car tracks and Karadec said they are on it. She informs Karadec that since they were probably taken from a stranger their chances of being found alive dropped by 42%. When they questioned the mom, she did not know who the woman was, nor where they were. She was worried about where her girls were. Morgan excuses herself to the restroom and instead goes to talk to the maid. She bonds with her over a drink. She found out that last weekend, the father came to get the homework one of the girls forgot and when the maid came back down with it, she found the father in the grandfather's office.

Morgan takes the report that Daphne made for Child Protective Services. She calls Karadec, "Special K". He is not impressed by the nickname. The report says that the father was raising them with dietary needs and he was feeding them junk food. Morgan insists that is not true as they saw his garden. She said they said he was giving them insufficient educational environment and he had so many books. She feels if he is a really a bad parent then that must mean she is too. Karadec agrees she's not wrong. Karadec looks up the name of the social worker who wrote the lies and they are going to see her. She has long red hair, is in her 30s and has glasses. The woman is the social worker and Morgan notices she has past due bills on her desk. She also notices the fact she buys cheap soap suggesting she's poor. Morgan is also able to notice that the woman took a recent trip to Kauai, Hawaii based on the fact she has a lei with fresh green berries on it still. She asked her how comfy were those super-soft slippers on her feet and asked her why she wrote all those nasty things about the father. She asked if she got the hotel stay along with the trip from the father-in-law in exchange for writing those things about the father. She asked if she needed a lawyer, Morgan said yes. Karadec then asked if the father had reported her if she would have lost her job. The social worker finally came clean. She said that the father-in-law paid off a lot of people and that the father had evidence to prove it. She offered to write up a new report but he refused. He said he was tired of his father-in-law ruining everything including the planet with his hotels so she left. She then confessed to telling the father-in-law what the father was planning to do. Morgan is horrified asking her what she thought that the father-in-law was going to do.

Back at the Father-in-law's house, Morgan finds where the photo Daphne had found was printed, on his printer by the father. Then when Karadec is questioning him, she wants to be let in but Selena says Karadec can handle this. He handles it beautifully and gets the name of the man who owns the preapaid phone who is now the suspect. When they visit him, Morgan gets freaked out for a second when the man reaches into his pocket but instead of a gun as she thought, he pulled out his keys. The arrest was easy, almost too easy but Karadec opens the door to an empty van. There are no girls inside much to Morgan and Karadec's dismay. Selena and Morgan and Karadec discuss the case. He admits to going to silence the father but doesn't stay finding him arguing with the mother who never admitted to seeing the father that day. They think she went to the father and confronted him and killed him. Morgan is horrified they could think such a thing but Selena insists that this is how they bring the girls home. They also think that the suspect could have done it as well. Karadec also informs Morgan that Oz said the tire track is of Mia's car but they never said anything as Mia wasn't a suspect at the time. Daphne interrupts to inform the group that Mia withdrew money and no one knows where she is. Morgan just cannot believe she is a suspect now. Morgan yells at the two saying that she told this woman she can trust us and she's terrified and she understands her. (she has her phone number in her phone as they bonded in the bathroom). Upset Morgan leaves. Karadec went to see Morgan trying to reassure her saying they will be analyzing the van. She was upset and tells Karadec that she didn't sleep prior to the girls being missing so definitely won't be sleeping now. Karadec says one thing to Morgan as she leaves, "You told Mia she can trust us but maybe we can't trust her."

Morgan goes home and informs Ava who is throwing away a banana peel that they are going to get a compost tomorrow. Then gives Ava a hug. She then goes gives Elliot kisses saying she loves him. She questions if he has been there all day and he said he's watching something. Morgan then shares with her ex-husband that her brain wouldn't work today at work and she needed it to. Then she glances up at the TV to notice something, there was a statue where the handprint was in the father-in-law's office but now there is not because something was stitched. Her ex-husband said, "Pizza to go then" knowing she was heading back to work. Meanwhile Morgan went to an antique shop where she finds the mother. Morgan said she noticed the whole house was full of China but she also noticed the one piece was a fake and told the girl why she knew that. Morgan asks why the mother needs so much cash. The mother confesses she received a phone call asking for 200 grand or he will kill the girls. When Morgan wants to call the police, the mother asked her not to saying he said not to. She confessed to going to see her ex-husband to ask him not to turn in her father but then she went home. Morgan said she's going to go with her as she can't let her do this alone. Morgan called Karadec and although the mother was upset, she talked to the kidnappers lying saying she was alive. Karadec sends the mother on her way with a phone that is connected to Karadec. He tells Morgan to stay safely in the parking lot. She doesn't and instead follows them to find the kidnapper took the money and is gone. It's up to the track Karadec put into the money bag to find him. They find a burning car but there are no kids in the trunk. Morgan gets into the car and listens to the radio knowing who took the girls. She tells the story of how the driver fell in love with the mother, tried to comfort her to win her over then took the girls so he can play hero. She said he was a gambler and when gambling didn't pay off he decided ransoming would give him the money needed to win other the mother. When questioned though the driver didn't have the girls, they ran off into the mountain. Morgan follows the survival book that was given to the girls. Morgan carries the one girl down to her mother while Karadec holds the hand of the other girl. As Morgan looks on with happy tears, the mother mouths thank you. Karadec thanks her for trusting him. Morgan thanks him for not going "Rambo Part 2". Karadec asks if trusting each other will ever happen again. They both agree that it will probably not. Then Karadec surprises her with finding her badge in the woods. He places it over her head. She said, "Get some rest Detective." He replies, "You too Consultant." Morgan goes home where her family including her ex-husband, is sleeping on the sofa. She pulls out a blanket and joins them to sleep.

In "Croaked", Morgan is seen making breakfast for her son, Elliot with her daughter, Chloe, on her hip. She sees Ava take a drink of orange juice and asks what she took with the orange juice. Ava denies taking anything. Morgan then gives Chloe to her father and goes out to work. Morgan and Karadec bicker about Morgan asking him to hold a sticky bag and she retorts that his gym equipment have more fecal matter on them than a toilet does. He said he is not talking to her the rest of the day. Karadec goes to wash his hands while Morgan notices the poisonous dart frog is missing. Acting quickly, she tells him to wait and when he doesn't listen, she hits him with a dart gun and he falls to the ground. She explains the soap has something poisonous in it and the victim couldn't wash her hands which is why she used the printer to print out murder. It is voice activated. She then shows how the victim was reacting to the soap because Fred is dead and in the soap dispenser. Morgan has to drive the police car while the tranquilzed Karadec wakes up so they can go on another case. The case is about a doctor who has been reported missing. Karadec wakes up during the drive claiming to be still not talking to Morgan. Then Morgan announces she answered his phone as it was connected to his car. It was a lady who said Saturday at the Grill at 1 is perfect. She added it to his calendar for him. Karadec thanks Morgan for saving his life. While Karadec drinks some water in hopes of waking up, Morgan talks to the lady who reported the doctor missing. She gives the lady a hug when she talks to her and she is upset about her missing friend. Karadec said we do not hug and asks her some questions. The son came in and said there was a man who yelled at the doctor. Morgan spoke to the ex-boyfriend and said that she thinks he wanted to pick up with the victim where they left off but she said no. But the suspect shows an ankle monitor which confirmed his alibi.

Morgan asked Selena if she had ever snooped on her kid but Selena said no as it's not snooping if it's her kid. Morgan snoops despite her ex-husband's warning. It was birth control. She wants to sit in the dark and turn on a light bulb. Her ex-husband said not to do that and just hold on to it and not break her trust. Morgan wants to just speak to her about it as she has a boyfriend. The fighting is stopped when Ava walks in. Morgan changes the topic to if her room would fit one of those swinging chairs that she loves.

Back at headquarters, they are looking into why she would have food delivered to one address if she lives in another place in Hollywood. Morgan and Karadec go to the Hollywood apartment where they meet up with Oz and Daphne. Morgan gets upset saying she wanted to be the one to call for back-up this time. Morgan was supposed to text them but had a second Daphne in her phone so it never got to them. Morgan wanders into a room full of animals. Turns out the vet had a secret life of an exotic animal trafficker. Morgan put together why she needed money and said she needed it for a house. Morgan and Karadec find out that she was definitely looking for a house a house with bees. They found out the informant lied as the vet was buying a house for her and her son. The informant was not aware of the trafficking but she admitted that her husband knew of the affair. He confessed but Morgan said he doesn't sit right. Karadec said they could look at it on Monday but Morgan wants to do so now as she cannot rest the weekend with the case like this then she remembers Karadec had a date. HE forgets who the lady even is so Morgan stole his phone. Morgan said she cannot give it back unless he has normal hobbies. He said he does: Football, history, working out and online scrabble. Morgan said he needs to lighten up and needs to change his shirt. Karadec said for her not to say another word but she cannot stop herself. Then she notices the son's karate belt that is wrong. She said either the is taller or he didn't go to karate. Morgan goes to the store where the ex-boyfriend robbed and realized how did the dad know he was wearing flipflops unless he was there so Morgan decides to take her kids to the beach! Elliot is excited asking if there is food there.

Morgan brings the kids, Elliot and Ava who is pushing Chloe in a stroller to the beach. They quickly figure out she's there to question a suspect. She claims it's a suspect with a solid alibi but she's still going to ask him some questions so tells the kids to go entertain themselves somewhere and she promises tacos after. Morgan goes up to the alibied suspect and takes out his ear bud to talk to him. She asks why he didn't tell the police that the vet was with him in the robbery. She was a minor so she would have gotten a short sentence. Then Morgan figures out that the vet was pregnant.

Meanwhile Morgan goes to rescue Karadec from his date telling the date that she is married to him and then turns to Karadec and said, "This is not you playing squash with your buddies." Then she takes it one step further, "I thought we agreed we were only going to splurge on hookers as a couple." The date looks very awkward and Morgan said she is just teasing. Then Morgan tells Karadec she has figured out that the alibied suspect is the kid's dad and that the vet was his mom leaving his mom to adopt him. She also confessed she went to talk to the suspect with an alibi and he confirmed with facial expressions that he was covering for the victim as she was pregnant which means it was a teen pregnancy. That is why her parents weren't talking to her. And that the witness who reported the victim as missing didn't really want the victim in her life but instead her son. So they brought in the witness AKA the kid's adopted mom. Karadec asked what her response was when she found out the victim wasn't really in love with her. Then Morgan added that with the victim pregnant, she sought her out and befriended her so she could be close to her son. Then Karadec accused her of allowing her husband to confess to murder and wondered if she could live with herself allowing him to go down for her murder after she planted the book in her husband's tool box. She confessed saying she was trying to sell my son. They released the husband. Morgan told Karadec that it sucks as she doesn't feel like they won. Karadec agrees saying it feels like that a lot. The mom of the victim didn't go too far and instead Morgan sees her helping her grandson get some candy out of the machine. When asked what he got, he answered his grandma (only he didn't know who she was) that it was sour candy and she said her daughter loved sour candy too. Just then the dad yelled for the kid. Excited the kid ran into his dad's arms. Morgan goes home and tucks in her daughter, Ava. Morgan brought Ava breakfast and then confessed that she snooped and found her birth control. She said she was sorry and that she should have trusted her and she didn't. Ava confessed that she thought she'd freak out. Morgan said she would have but she is the do or die, the bury the body and ask questions later. Ava said she was going to tell her but everyone kept saying how good her skin was. Morgan is confused and Ava continued saying her friend started taking birth control and her acne was gone so Ava started taking it too. She said she saved up all her money and went online got it. Morgan tried to smoothe it over saying how supportive she was when she thought Ava was having sex and Ava admits she is having sex. Morgan is surprised but she wasn't really. Ava said she was so easy. Morgan threatened playfully to beat her with her own birth control.

In "Hangover", Morgan was deep-cleaning when Karadec called her for a case. There they meet Oz and Daphne already on the scene. Morgan goes with Karadec to witness the suspect who claims to love her boss but Morgan could see the smile wasn't genuine. The suspect confessed she agreed with the CEO's vision but she wasn't easy to work with especially if you made a mistake. She claims the CEO got all secretive changing the locks. Morgan hearing her confession, goes to look at her computer to see if it tells them anything about her as Karadec doesn't believe her and thinks she killed her boss. While looking through her stuff, they found a journal with a drawn image of the suspect stabbing her boss. While Karadec is grilling the suspect, Selena and Morgan talk. Morgan wishes she could go back in time and tell the suspect she can walk away but isn't convinced she'd want to as she said she really seems to believe in the cause and that would make you willing to put up with anything. Selena tells Morgan and Karadec to go tell the husband his wife is dead and to question him. Morgan jumps right in asking all the right questions but the husband claims he left the party at 10 pm before the party ended. He said he was having trouble with his wife as her job was stressful. He said that his wife demanded a lot of her employees.

Morgan meets a janitor named Tom who tells her that he has to clean her cheesy finger prints off the windows. She denies it saying many people eat chips at the office but he just smiles. Meanwhile, Selena has brought in all the party guests to see if they can figure out a timeline as things aren't making sense. Morgan was able to successfully figure out based on the playlist and who was singing what, that the time of death is 11:00 pm. Morgan then goes to talk to the suspect to try to jog her memory despite the fact she mixed drugs with alcohol. Morgan tries to identify with the girl and calmed her down. She then encouraged the girl to check her dress and the girl produces pictures with someone else's lipstick on. The receptionist who claimed to never have left her desk, wears that lipstick. She admitted to going to the party but then said she found someone at the party who didn't belong not being on the list. She is able to identify the woman after Morgan hears the lady is wearing an insulin pump. After hearing from Daphne that the murder weapon had no prints, they go to talk to the insulin pump woman. Daphne also said the time of death was confirmed. The lady is the mother of the son who was one of the first children who benefitted on the CEO's medication. Morgan notices that the house is beautiful but they had just moved recently. She continues saying that she wasn't sure how they could afford such a big house on no income. The family kicked them out not talking. Morgan notices before going that her hand is busted up as if she had been the one who strike the glass on the broken frame on the office wall. She knocks over a glass so that Karadec can see it. He takes her down for questioning. Karadec accused the woman of taking the money from the CEO but also says she killed the CEO but the woman wouldn't talk. Morgan figured out that the product was giving the kids long term effects of asthma so goes to talk to the woman. She confessed to writing on the wall, destroying a toy, and breaking the frame. She wanted to do it but left around 10:15 pm after bumping into the original suspect.

Back at headquarters after they found out the next suspect didn't do it, they start to brain storm ideas. Morgan thinks it was the husband who disagreed where the money should go to the clients. Selena is on board with that. Karadec thinks it's the suspect. Selena sends the two to the husband to question him. He confessed to not wanting the deal to go through but his wife did. He didn't kill his wife and he loved her but he didn't love what she had become. Morgan runs into janitor Tom who tells her that he goes to nursing night school. Morgan is surprised he'd rather be a nurse than a janitor. He jokes that the nursing gig is in case the janitor doesn't work out. Morgan asks Tom if he had a niece and was proud of her wouldn't they have a picture anywhere of her but she doesn't. She asks Tom what the medication smelled like and he recognized it and Morgan said it doesn't make sense as it's the wrong area of supplements as it's from China. Tom asked if she was into Chinese medication. Morgan remembered cupping marks on the assistant. Then she remembers her daughter had issues. She and Tom agree that they think that the daughter came up with the idea making the CEO rich. Morgan asked Tom how he'd feel if your boss was using your idea to help people but instead it was hurting them so she got mad. So Morgan and Karadec go back to talk to the assistant. She confesses about coming up with the idea in the first place to calm her own daughter. She gave the idea to her boss but she wanted it. She said that the CEO had a dream to help people. Karadec asked the assistant how long she was having an affair with the victim's husband. He said the only ones who know how the CEO died was her her husband or the killer so she must be having an affair with her husband. She said she wanted to do the right thing but eventually they started doing the wrong thing and having the affair. They were together the night of the murder so have an alibi leading them back to the original suspect being guilty. Morgan is upset by it. When they go to arrest her, Morgan mentions the check that was made out but never cashed. Upset the suspect runs into the bathroom puking and Morgan follows. It was the amount left on her student loans. Morgan comforts her.

Karadec comes to talk to Morgan asking if she was ok. Morgan confided in Karadec that she stayed in a lot of situations because she was too afraid to get out. As Morgan is putting things away she remembers that the CEO is paranoid. Karadec takes Morgan back to the scene where she realizes the mirror has a camera. Morgan and Karadec bring in the suspect and Morgan tells her what happened. She tried to quit and her boss tried to bribe her to keep quiet with the check. You refused and told her that you were going public. She couldn't let you ruin her time. She tried to kill you but you fought her off. She fell and landed on her awards while you hit your head and passed out. Karadec said it was self defense and she was free to go and would serve no time. On her way out, she buys chips and puts her greasy fingers on the window putting her number. She decided to join the party at the bar. Morgan jokes with Karadec saying she texted the suspect to come over for a drink. Karadec goes to enjoy his beer while Selena comes over to talk to Morgan saying she was glad she came. Morgan compliments Selena saying she's a great boss and one she doesn't want to quit which is rare. Selena admits she wouldn't let Morgan quit.

In "One of Us", Ava wins against her and Elliot a war game (hard to believe) so Ava gets a 'yes' day. Ava has the whole day planned including getting a free makeover at a place called Saks. Elliot did some computer work to get them in and in return Ava gets him a new calculator. When Ava goes off to pet a dog, Morgan sees Tom, the janitor, and he said he assumed the cheesy phone number was hers. He didn't call it as she adds playfully that if he had called it, you would know. He said he did call it and he got another woman who had a plenty of stories to tell. She said maybe next time she'll try to write it with something other than food but he said it worked out he was invited to bowl and so he invites her. She agrees. Ava said she wants a dog but even on a yes day, Morgan says no. Morgan shows Ava around on a tour saying Daphne is her favorite. After meeting Karadec, Ava asks where Morgan's desk is. She said she does not have one as she helps everyone out. Ava sarcastically says, "Because you are so smart everyone needs your help." As Ava goes to the bathroom, a woman in the elevator grabs the gun off a police officer and holds everyone at gun point. She claims there are bombs in the office. A cop pulls a gun and a man in the crowd knocks him over and they collect phones and guns but Morgan tells her daughter via phone to get out of the building now. The female gun holder tells Daphne to make a call telling everyone but the ones in the room to leave the building there is bombs in the building. The female gun holder shoots out the camera and explains they are there because an innocent man is about to spend his life in prison for a murder he didn't commit so she wants their best detective to try to solve the case. Detective Melon claims to be even as Morgan looks at Daphne who looks back at her.

Morgan meanwhile listens to the case and looks at the board. She tries her best to find what is wrong. Having an idea she interrupts saying all the evidence points to the suspect but says something is missing. She notices the blood splatter has a perfect corner meaning something was there when the victim was killed. She said a piece of paper or something was there that the killer took with her. She calls Selena to ask for help telling them to look for a paper in the RV. Karadec looks at the computer and sees a form he opened on his computer. It was to dismiss someone from the military. Just then Ava was found sneaking around and gets brought into the room. Morgan rushes over to hug Ava and when the gunmen get upset, Tom steps up saying that they have bigger things to worry about than a mother hugging her daughter. Even after they sit down with the others, Morgan can't stop hugging Ava. Ava apologizes saying she tried to do what her mother asked but she couldn't leave her. Morgan promises nothing will happen to her. Karadec calls Morgan to inform her of the detail and tells her that he needs her to go into the evidence box to find the phone. Morgan promises she'll be right back to Ava. Morgan finds out that he went to a place where there are a lot of drugs and alcohol but then notices he also went to a place for detoxing suggesting he picked someone up and took them for help.

When Tom was shot by Detective Melon, Morgan springs into action with the help from Daphne. They manage to stop the bleeding before he bleeds out. Tom jokes about how he is wondering if this might ruin their planned bowling night. Morgan thinks it might. Tom tells Morgan what to do as he's in night school for nursing as Morgan explains to Daphne. Morgan insists he needs a hospital but the gunman isn't agreeing. The female gunman asked how she knew that and Morgan said when she was pregnant with Ava, she took a million first aid classes. The female gunman was curious if it helped and Morgan admitted it did not as she forgot it all the minute Ava was born but it was Ava who taught her to be a parent and whispered, 'And your baby will too.' Morgan tells the girl that she knows she was trying and that she knows the suspect refused the job to stay with her and have children and that he was doing home reno to make a baby room for her. She also saw she was taking hormones to become pregnant. The gunwoman denies being pregnant but when the gunman acts surprised asking why she didn't tell him, she said she didn't think it was important but he is greatly upset saying everyone is lying to him. Appealing to the female gunman, Morgan convinces her to let Tom out to go to the hospital. The female gunman tells Ava to walk him out. Ava is scared but Morgan is brave for her. She hugs her tight telling her that she would never ask her to do something she didn't already know she could do. Morgan walks them to the elevator and as Ava goes down, Morgan whispers, "that's my girl."

As the gunmen were fighting and the male was melting down, Morgan realizes there was no phone call or text to tell the suspect where to go. She sees on a receipt that he bought a luggage locator tag. He was using it to watch the solider to make sure he wasn't doing drugs. The tracker was still on the murderer who was in the RV the day the victim was killed. He knew he was going to be discharged due to drug usage. She gave Oz the address and he was going there now as they now have a true suspect. So case closed but not so fast. The male gunman gets upset and beats down the female gunman and threatens everyone again as he knows he's going down for murder. Morgan talks him to down explaining the bomb isn't real as the female gunman wouldn't have risked making it trying to become pregnant and then the female gunman wakes up and says she lied to him. Daphne then takes him down and he's arrested but he does push the bomb weapon but nothing happens. When released, Ava runs to Morgan and her ex-husband is there. She gave her back her iternary and said rain check and Ava agreed. Morgan thanks Karadec and the female gunman apologized. Morgan accepts it then said you put my daughter in danger. You should be happy she's not in her jury.

Morgan goes to check on Tom who is doing ok. He asks about her daughter and Morgan said she's good. As she's walking out, Daphne and Oz tell her there's another case but instead it's a celebration to say thank you. They got her a desk. Detective Melon agrees to stop calling her the cleaning lady.

In "Obsessed", Morgan goes on a breakfast date with Tom, the janitor explaining that they suck but it's all the time she has. When he asks her about her perfect date, Morgan answers that she'd like an adult drink and a dinner with no kids. Tom said he'll get Saturday night open despite the fact that Morgan admits she's on call and anytime she's on call, LAPD calls. Just then they call and he plans to see her Saturday night. Morgan likes the optimism. Morgan pulls up blocking the other cars and when Karadec asks if she always parks like that, Morgan said he can try to park her car better. As she's talking about options for a parking space or pass, she's taking off expensive bedazzled pink boots. She walks onto the beach in her socks and leans down asking for Karadec's watch to which she uses to prove, the victim is still breathing!! The older boyfriend is brought in. Morgan and Selena discuss the fact that they don't trust him or like him. He hasn't asked to see the victim yet. Morgan goes with Karadec to the victim's apartment. She finds expensive shoes and purses and the woman lived in a terrible looking apartment. Karadec suggests maybe a sugar daddy is taking care of her but that isn't right. She's in serious debt. As Morgan is looking around, she finds a crime board for an ex-boyfriend of hers that was killed. She looks to be trying to solve the mystery behind his death. Back at the crime station, their crime board starts to show a pattern. The victim started to investigate people and to do so, she needed a way in to an expensive club so she dated her older boyfriend as a way in. So they go to visit the club. They meet brothers. They recognize the victim as the boyfriend's girlfriend. They recognize the dead ex-boyfriend as a tennis instructor. They won't talk though. Karadec plans to get a warrant. Morgan noticed the guy at the club had a black eye. He said he got it for investigating a guy who was selling drugs on the beach. They bring him in. He at first won't talk but then he said the girl wouldn't leave her alone. He said he was not selling drugs but instead was trying to go talk to one of the brothers who owes him money.

The victim woke up so they go to question her. She said she was responding to a call she got because of a billboard she put up. She said the person said he saw the attack so she went to the beach to meet him. Instead she got hit on the back of the head. She said he gave her the necklace on the week he died and that she would do anything for him. She was asked what she knew about the suspect. She said her boyfriend and the suspect had a few fights but he was protected by his brother. When the brother was questioned, but he said the suspect wasn't there. When they accused the suspect, his brother went crazy saying he has protected him from his drug addition getting him through rehab. So they go to talk to another member of the club. She was having an affair with the suspect while married to a councilmen. So they move to finding out about the boyfriend as they determined the boyfriend had been moved.

Morgan starts to think about the case and after getting a text from Tom, she goes to Karadec offering to buy Chinese while they work. She said since she knew that Karadec was going to be working on the case, Karadec then finished saying we could work on it together. He liked it. They worked and worked. Karadec offered her coffee in the morning. Morgan admitted she might like to date Tom. Morgan had mentioned the blue rose on her wall and Karadec finally told her. His finace made him that rose when he proposed. Her name was Lucia. They broke up so she could be with a man who wasn't in love with his job. Morgan then leaves. Morgan goes to walk away then solves the case. She tells Karadec to come too and she'll explain. A snowglobe killed the ex-boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend went to the suspect but instead found the brother. When he tried to accuse the suspect, the brother killed him. The brother covered it up. They go to arrest him but he's running but Morgan figured out where he was going. to the scene of the crime. He's about to jump until his brother said that he needed him. He is arrested. She is excited she'll get to make her date with Tom afterall but first she wants to go see Penny. Karadec looks impressed.

Morgan goes on the date with Tom and we learn he was on a marching band. He said he was very competitive. He cooked her dinner and there was wine. He asks if she knows his last name but he said he didn't want to rush her. She appreciates it. He said he has a lot going on as he did a lot of changes in his life. He said life is messy and maybe they hang out together then maybe things will be a little less chaotic. Just then Morgan gets a call from Selena. She wants to talk about Roman. She said when someone has been missing as long as Roman has that it's hard to find out. She said it took her a while to get anywhere. She did though. A guy that Roman met with. She got a name, Gio Conforth. He's clean with no record. She said he works on both sides of the law finding things. She is going to set up an appointment as she did find him despite him being hard to find. She said she did it in the shadows where no one was looking.

In "The RAMS", Morgan is trying to find a demanding Chloe when she receives a call from Karadec. Karadec tells her he needs to her a crime scene. She explains she has no car, Ludo isn't available to drive her, and as she's talking, she realizes Karadec isn't even listening to her and instead suggests she take a bus and he will drive her the rest of the day around. He doesn't give her a chance to say no as he hangs up on her much to Morgan's shock as she is always the one who hangs up on him. Morgan arrives with Chloe in tow in a baby stroller. Karadec is a little surprised but debriefs Morgan anyway. A witness says it's murder as the guy ran over him once, then reversed then ran over him again so that's murder for sure. Morgan knew what kind and year of the car based on the witness's description and knew the color based off paint flecks on the victim's watch. When Karadec tried to talk her out of it, she recognized the tire tracks are too narrow apart for an American Sport Car so stood by her thoughts. She also thought he was standing and got hit flipping over the car then got run over. Karadec said that the car should be in a parking garage and his reasoning was they were on a no-outlet street and it was street sweeping day with no parking allowed, So together, Karadec, Oz, Daphne and Morgan go and look for the car in the garage. Oz finds the car with a cover on it and Morgan uncovers it announcing, "Ta Da!" and she was right. It was a Jensen and it was blue. Daphne noticed that Morgan was also right, the fender was bent and the paint was chipped.

Morgan shows up after cleaning up baby puke in the car from Chloe and goes to talk to Karadec but before she does, she gives Chloe to Oz to babysit for 10 minutes. Morgan found Karadec in the room with the son. The son was sipping coffee in a comfy room while being talked to. He volunteers a name of someone who killed his father. He seems really sure of it. She is the live-in house keeping who his father was probably having relations with and was changed to sole-heir of the estate last year. He said he was on the phone with his dad who said he regretted making the housekeeper as heir and wanted to change it to him instead and that the housekeeper must have gotten wind of it and got angry. His last word was Twiddly winks. When Karadec questioned about the fact he was broke and now looking for money, but the son said why would he kill him before he was added to the will. Nothing more was said. Morgan comes out and runs into Tom and brags about Chloe going to her first crime scene not seeing the body so she's a good mom. Tom is going as he got a new job as he finished his nursing school last week. Morgan seems happy but admits she missed his call last week as she was busy. She tries to apologize and explains she was busy and offers a picnic. He is leaving though in the morning as the job is not there but as Morgan says, 'is far away'. She congratulates him and gives him a hug. Before she goes, he said that San Diego isn't that far. As she goes to get into the elevator she gets a text from Selena saying she's going to meet with Gio and will let her know what she learns later.

Morgan and Karadec went to the victim's house. Morgan notices drugs on the table while grabbing a water then awkwardly Morgan squeezes in beside Karadec practically sitting on him. The housekeeper said she does love him but she thinks of him as a father. No alini but never learned to drive. She has no idea of why tiddlywinks. Morgan said being on blood thinners the victim would not be that successful at having relations and said that she thinks she loved him as there was a sack of food in the fridge with a heart for an i dot in his name. Morgan took the housekeeper's phone but Karadec made her return it.

Morgan joins Selena to Gio. He shows up and Selena says Roman's name saying he met with him before he went missing 15 years ago. Gio said ge couldn't remember then asked them. Morgan went off on her day then said 15 years ago my daughter was a baby so I'm trying to figure out what happened to her father. Gio said his son got in trouble and he wants them to make it go away in exchange for information. They ask for reassurance but he leaves. Selena promises she'll get what he knows. Upset, Morgan asks why Roman would meet with a guy like him. At home, Morgan went through Roman's stuff then asked Ava if she took some of his stuff saying she shouldn't have to sneak around to do that. Then Ava confessed that she heard that conversation about Roman having diapers in the car. She said she doesn't believe he left them either.

She confessed to Elliot that she didn't sleep last night trying to figure out about Twiddly winks. He told her the history of Tiddlywinks. Determined to find out about Tiddlywinks, she watches his show which sure enough says Tiddlywinks in it. As they are watching a video camera of the car being stolen, Morgan googles something on her phone and announces the killer's name. Karadec asked if she just googled who was the killer on her phone. She said she did not but she said when she stole the phone she was getting a call from a car dealer. Morgan said the thief had certain types of shoes and was so tall so she figured out on the auto page who he was based on being cute and having the right shoes. No idea why tiddlewinks though. They go to talk to the thief. Meanwhile the thief ran. Karadec ran after him and tackled him off his motorcyle and arrested him. When they brought him in they figured out that the housekeeper had no alibi but neither did the thief. The victim had said tiddlywinks as a way to let them know that the house keeper was protecting the Murderer as he had called him a waste of time meaning he is the killer.

Morgan said I guess I owe you one but since you owe me we can call it even. She apologized for not telling him. He said that it was smart to get Selena on the case as she's the best who taught him but offered his assistance if she needs it. He also said to be careful as guys like Gio are not nice. Morgan got offered a ride by Gio saying he didn't spend much time with Roman but knew enough to know he was a good guy so she gets in the car. He said he was leaving town for a while and that he'd get ahold of her when he got back. He made her promise that no one reaches out to him as he only does it on his terms. She didn't think he knew Roman but Roman used to call Roman, Ava and Morgan the RAMS and he told GIo that. Morgan sat in the car after he got out.

Personality[]

Morgan has a condition called "high intellectual potential", defined as an above-average intelligence quotient, with her IQ being above 130. Her high intellect means her brain is always working, always thinking, and easily hyper fixates on difficult or complex situations. She can't turn off her brain or her intelligence, something that often makes her an outsider among others. Because her brain doesn't shut-off, she's constantly absorbing and remembering information - it's just not specifically useful information on a daily basis. Her HIP hasn't done much for her in the way of schooling or work, and she finds a job as a cleaning lady to be easiest. She stumbles into working as a consultant for the LAPD, finally putting her incredible deduction skills and acute attention to detail to work.

She has a photographic memory when she is able to imagine and recognize the candle in the bathroom after seeing it only one time previously. She also recalls the detail of the marks on the chair, can deduce a person's personality based on how neat they kept their house and the detail that they have taken into putting into the house, and read quickly a computer screen from across the room. She used her photographic memory to remember what a victim was wearing hours later to try to find him in the dance club. Morgan can speed read; taking in incredible amounts of information accurately and in remarkable speed. She is perceptive and has learned to read facial expressions because she often can't deduce verbal cues. The closer she is to a person the harder it is for her to "read" them.

Despite her incredible, and often seemingly superhuman skills, Morgan is a rather ordinary woman. She cares for her children deeply, loves her home, and does her best to provide a great life for her three children. She holds a lot of heartbreak over the disappearance of her ex-boyfriend Roman, though most of that heartbreak is reserved for her daughter Ava, as Morgan hates seeing her child hurt. Morgan is also incredibly impulsive, reckless, pays little attention to police procedures, and has a limited sense of boundaries. She has a great sense of humor, is resourceful, and a very creative thinker.

Physical Appearance[]

Morgan is a woman in her forties with straight blonde hair cut into swooped bangs, oval blue eyes, and dark eyebrows. She has a prominent bone structure that she usually evens out with softer makeup. Morgan's iconography is. her fashion, which matches her personality to a tea - bold, colorful, unapologetic, and a little immature.
