Dirty Rotten Scoundrel is the third episode of the ABC original series, High Potential. It will air on October 8, 2024, and the next day on Hulu.
Synopsis[]
Morgan’s intellect and cleaning experience prove useful when the detectives are called to a hotel room murder scene, eventually uncovering the victim’s many cons. Morgan navigates Ava’s dating while Soto reveals details about Roman’s disappearance.
Plot[]
A man is laying in the bathtub at a hotel. He is surrounded by lighted candles. He starts to fall asleep as someone enters the room. Suddenly the man is grabbed by his feet by the murderer and dragged under the water and drowned.
Morgan is called to the scene with Karadec. Karadec is convinced the killer is the ex-girlfriend. Morgan is not saying the evidence doesn't match that theory. The candle doesn't match the time frame, and the floor was mopped by a towel not the cleaning lady suggesting clean up was needed. Ruling out the ex-girlfriend, Morgan is able to determine the killer climbed the window to enter the room using climbing equipment. He was coning women out of money.
