Dancers in the Dark is the second episode of the ABC original series, High Potential. It aired on September 24, 2024, and the next day on Hulu.

Synopsis[]

As Morgan and the detectives adjust to her new role as a consultant, they investigate the attempted murder of a tap dancer and discover things are not quite as they seem. Meanwhile, Ava learns more about her father, and Morgan surprises her kids.

Plot[]

Two guys are dancing in the roof of a building. They are recording themselves tap dancing. Suddenly one of the two dancers falls off the building smashing into his car. He is still alive and hospitalized but it is unknown who did it. Ludo AKA Chloe and Elliot's dad is on childcare duty. When Morgan determines that the victim was not on the roof alone, the mom said that no one wants her son dead. The mom is upset as she is not sure if he will ever be able to dance again which is tragic as he was Broadway bound. He just has to survive to get his dream of being on Broadway. Morgan and Karadec have to work together to figure out why he was attacked and who the other tap dancer was in order to save him in time. Meanwhile, another detective, Detective Melon has a serial robber case being solved at the same time. Morgan was able to figure out both cases were connected as the intended victim worked at the same car lot that the robber was using to get his get away vehicles. Once the victim refused to help anymore, the robber got revenge and tried to push him off the roof pushing the first victim instead. Once that failed, he then shot the second victim to death. Morgan was able to help them solve the case and apprehend the robber/murderer but not in time The second victim had been shot to death much to Morgan's dismay.
